Wedding Jewellery Brooch Heart Shape Sylvsmidja of Voss Norway Silver Crowned

Absolutely gorgeous crowned heart brooch from Sylvsmidja of Voss, Norway. Made with oxidized silver with pendants and leaves. The heart shape with crown on top, has long been the symbol of love and loyalty. The curved "spoon" shapes are said to ward off evil.

These wonderful brooches used to be the traditional "morgengave" - the gift the bride would receive from her new husband on their first morning together. 

Silvmidja was established in 1940 in Voss and makes top quality silver that lasts for generations.
